Often Organisation Development takes a subservient role, becoming over-reliant on the project team because the Organisation Development practitioners do not fully understand the project language or approach. How do we gain a high level sight of the project management landscape in order to manage projects effectively, in the Organisation Development way?
If our understanding or implementation of project management in organisation development is lacking in depth, our change or Organisation Development initiative will not integrate effectively with project management. This often leads to planning and reporting which is static, insufficient or externally owned, or Organisation Development plans which do not reflect the complex nature of projects.
By gaining a high-level sight of the project management landscape, and stepping through the process of project management, you will be better equipped to effectively integrate project management with Organisation Development and change management.
