What is strategy anyway? Why do different organisations have different approaches to strategy development? The challenges to thinking strategically are compounded by the high operational demands of running a business. What does an Organisation Development practitioner need to know about strategy in order to let strategy guide Organisation Development? When and how does Organisation Development help to shape strategy?
Understanding how to navigate the delicate balance of strategy and operations is essential to the successful development and implementation of strategy. It is crucial to continuously scan the internal and external environment to identify strategic opportunities and communicate these at the appropriate forums.
How do we think strategically within the reality of high operational demands? Through Strategy and Action Planning you will learn how to constantly see connections that enable the whole organisation to achieve common and individual goals.
In order to contribute to strategy development, you must develop an understanding of how to move beyond strategy formulation, seeking application opportunities for key stakeholders and collaborating in the design of implementation plans and monitoring systems.
